Rick Carlisle stepping down as Mavericks head coach

Rick Carlisle has informed the Dallas Mavericks that he will not return as their head coach next season. Carlisle sent a statement to ESPN saying: “My family and I have had an amazing 13-year experience working with great people. It’s been an honor to work with Mark, Cynt, Donnie, Fin, Keith, Dirk, JKidd and every other player and assistant coach I've had here. Dallas will always be home, but I’m excited for the next chapter in my coaching career.”
